Mitosis Gather A Horde Of Goblin Rat Riders On Kickstarter
July 7, 2016 by brennon
Mitosis Miniatures are on Kickstarter now with their project which sees them producing a range of Goblin Rat Riders for use in your miniature wargames and more...
The idea behind the campaign is to provide you with a set of Modular Rat Riders which come with a myriad of different parts within the kit so you can mix and match as you see fit. Bodge away!
You can also get the bitz themselves separately so you can grab additional heads, rat bodies, arms, legs and more.
The real twist in the tail (get it?) is that they are also producing these along with a licence to create these miniatures yourself.
Licences For Personal & Commercial Use
This means you can pick up a Reproduction Licence which allows you to either create more of these for personal use or for commercial use, so you could sell them on yourself!
It's a very interesting proposition indeed but what do you think?

It’s a neat idea and an interesting business model. I’m curious to see how it works out for them.
I notice it says ‘compatible with IX age’, so it seems that WFB players might still be catered for.
A bit OTT for my tastes, but I like the idea of a giant rat as a mount for goblins, rather than spiders. Never got that connection.
These look fun but the join for the front legs looks a bit odd. The fur seems to end in a perfect socket.
I think it’s actually supposed to be part of the harness/saddle/etc – if you look closely there’s something similar around the rear leg with a strap going to the front leg and another strap going up over the back to where the goblin sits.
Right you are. I didn’t see the straps first time around.
the riders look nice and evil.
