Hop On the Bus for Dropzone Commander’s Resistance Teasers
July 16, 2014 by dracs
Hawk Wargames have put out two new previews for the new Resistance of Dropzone Commander, giving us a better look at two of the very first teasers we saw.
The first two images shown when the Resistance was first announced featured a quick glimpse of these buses and the underground drill, but now we get to see them in all their glory.
The underground drill is one of the best things that the Resistance have received so far, as it gives the faction their own tactical options that none of the other more high tech forces have.
The buses, however, look a little silly. I love the ramshackle design of them as mobile gun platforms, but the platforms themselves hang so far over the edges of the vehicles that it is verging on the impractical. Still, they definitely fit with the character of the Resistance and are perhaps the faction's defining miniatures.
Which of the Resistance teasers has been your favourite so far?

Damn. If my school bus had looked like that, I might have actually gone to school once in a while! 😀
Not sure what Detroit is like but someone on the DZC facebook page said that Detroit school buses actually look like that 🙂
Actually the Detroit school busses have more gun ports on the side.
True, those gun platforms are a bit silly. That calls for some conversion work. Perhaps just putting them on sideways. Or otherwise cutting them in half and sticking one in front and one at the back.
I think they’re great… nice ad hoc configuration, as impractical as that may be! And I’m never shy when it comes to conversion work.
I have this abrupt urge to watch “The Road Warrior” now. 🙂
Yes Mad Max came to mind the very second the bus came up.
My resistance is weakening. Geddit? Oh, never mind; I’ll be getting some of these when they appear.
Yeah, still nothing.
Looks so top heavy. Perhaps if the platforms were a little smaller.
