Hoodies Take On Henchmen With MiniatureMen’s Kickstarter

MiniatureMen are on Kickstarter this week with their excellent Kickstarter campaign for Robyn's Hoodies & The Sheriff's Henchmen! This is a selection of 28mm metal miniature based on the legends of Robin Hood but with a twist!

As part of this Kickstarter, you'll get all of the classic characters that you'd want to start up a warband of heroes or villains. On the one side, you have Robyn, Tuck, John and Marion (I do like the switch there!) alongside their "Hoodies" with an array of different weapons. These are classic looking Medieval bandits which would be fun to use as the core of a growing army.

On the other side of things, you've got the Sherrif Of The Shire alongside "Chief Henchman Guy" (hah) and a couple of stooges. What's particularly fun about this, for me at least, is that it is taking me back to my childhood and the excellent TV show Maid Marian & Her Merry Men.

Maybe this could be the core of an upcoming Fantasy force for games like Warlords Of Erehwon or SAGA: Age Of Magic? You could obviously go full-on historical and drop them into The Barons' War and the like as well which would be neat!

Unlocking Characters!

In addition to the core set of troops that are on offer, the team are also looking at adding in characters like this Witch...

...and this Wizard. The Witch could very easily be under the sway of The Sheriff and aiding him in his cruel plots. The Wizard is clearly linked to the mighty Herne The Hunter!

Make sure to get these folks a look on Kickstarter. There is just under a month left on their campaign and it is already very well funded. So, if you're interested in Robin/Robyn Hood and the idea of a warband of outlaws sticking it to "the man", this might be for you.
