Hold That Pose With New Betty For Dystopian Legions
December 11, 2014 by brennon
Spartan Games have shown off one of their sidekick miniatures that will be coming to Dystopian Legions soon. The first up is Captain Smethington and they lovely Betty for the Kingdom Of Britannia...
As you can see she's very much the 'poster girl' for your soldiers heading to the front and she even has a special rule called 'Hold that Pose' which is all about inspiring the men into action on the tabletop. At least she's not quite as over top as the pin-up girls you might have seen on the side of WWII planes!
What do you think of her?

Over all those are rather neat.
“As you can see, Betty is all about her looks on the gaming table and for those of you who have downloaded the KoB Statistics you will see that she has the special rule ‘Hold That Pose’ which is all about inspiring the men (and Bertie) into action.” That’s the description on their FB post. All I can say is…really? We’re doing that? Booth Babes of the battlefield? I sometimes make fun of Infinity’s tendency to put ladies in too-small outfits, but at least they are supposed to be just as tough as the male counterparts. This lady’s special ability… Read more »
I like to think that she’s actually some kind of steampunk robot that parodies the idea of a ‘booth babe’. Might be quite interesting to model her all bust up and broken from all her battlefield ‘patrols’.

Yeah baby yeah. LOL
I don’t know… This doesn’t bother me the way that a lot of the overtly sexualised miniatures do. This is at least based on what really happened, and the model itself looks the period. Not just in terms of what she’s wearing, but I can imagine a woman doing her bit to raise morale pulling this sort of pose. ‘1940s sexy’ rather than 2014 in your face internet porn ‘sexy’. It looks like a figure of a real person doing a pose for the soldiers. Whereas a lot of the Infinity (and other) figures are supposedly women dressed for combat… Read more »
If she’s going to inspire, I think her face needs work. The clothing is commendable, though. i.e. she has some.
Yes but she’s still naked underneath?
Saucier then a direct hit on a baked bean factory
What ever she may be, for the time period she is in she is at least in an uniform that looks combat worthy for officers. Not like other model ranges that have ridiculous outfits that shout out look at me figure guys!
Grant it with the rule she has, she may be the one model that should have that look at me pose and dressing about her. As it is, she looks rather respectable minus the rule.
