Add Some Hive Scum To Your Necromunda Gangs This Week
January 17, 2022 by brennon
Games Workshop has dropped a few new releases into the mix for those playing games of Necromunda. Whilst the Outcasts Gang seems sold out online, you will be able to get your hands on a small pack of them from this weekend.
Hive Scum // Necromunda
Shop Necromunda @ Store.OnTableTop
This offers up four incredibly expendable scum for you to drop into your games of Necromunda. It's not quite the same as having a big kit to play with but it would be good for plugging the gaps in your Necromunda gang. It reminds me of some of the easy-to-assemble sets they did for their games in the past. It might also scratch a nice painting itch if you just want a few Necromunda models to play around with on the painting table.
Delaque Weapons & Upgrades
As well as the new cannon fodder, those playing as Delaque are going to get their hands on some alternative weapon options for you to tinker with.
Delaque Weapons & Upgrades // Necromunda
This opens up the various weapon options for your house of spies, killers and assassins. In addition to the various weapons they can now use, they also have access to some alternative masked heads too. I like the throwing knives in particular! You could imagine one of these trenchcoat-clad killers letting one fly from the shadows.
Feedin' & Sellin'
You will also be able to pick up two new hangers-on for your Necromunda gang too. Keep your gang fed and sell some of your more nefarious goods via the Slopper & Scabber.
Slopper & Scabber // Necromunda
We've seen these models pop up before in some of the previews at the end of 2021. They will be joining the fray as background characters this weekend and I really like them. I think that Games Workshop and Forge World have done a solid job of packing the Necromunda range with interesting miniatures that bring life to the grimdark of Warhammer 40,000.
They are perfect for those embracing the narrative element of their games. They also help folks like me who want interesting characters for my Inquisitor to hunt down in Inq28 or Planet 28!
Cards For Every Situation
If you're looking to drop a fair few underdogs into your collection then you might also want the Underdog Card Pack.

These Underdog Tactics Cards will allow you to throw a few curveballs into your games of Necromunda. They are universal cards so can be used for any gang that you might have sworn allegiance to.
A smattering of smaller releases for Necromunda this week but ones that could be handy in a pinch!

Arms! Options!
Is that a ratburger?
What are the googly eye things at the bottom of the Delaque bits pic?
Think they are scanners to go on shoulders/weapons
Ooh ta. I have some Delaques (shamefully unstarted) for an inquisitor’s retinue. Tempted to pick up some extra guns and such.
A fabulous looking set of arm’s an weapons to personalize your gang factions.
So the Hive Scum is just one of the three identical sprues that were in the Outcasts Gang box set… And of course it will be more than a third of the price of that kit.
You betcha, 4 minis for the princely sum of £12. Dunno why GW do this, the cheapest “horde” type armies/gangs (for example the old Chaos Cultist in the 5 mini box) GW always ramp up the price over and above even a Space Marine. …still glad these were such a poor mini compared to the other Necromunda releases, I will not feel bad about skipping purchasing these for the game. My only worry is “if” GW decide to make the normal House Gang boxes a single sprue and charge and extra third over the per mini price of the old… Read more »
Extra recruits for someone’s Genestealer or chaos cult
Slopper and Scabber look amazing and I feel were released purely because of the sheer amount of people converting cargo containers into food and weapon stalls for their tables.
The Hive Scum, on the other hand, are easily the dullest release that I’ve seen for Necromunda. The sculpts are bog standard and in an effort to avoid specific gang colours they’ve gone for as bland a paint scheme as possible.
