Folded Space Hit Up Kickstarter With New Storage Options For Board Games
June 13, 2018 by brennon
Folded Space has hit up Kickstarter with the second round of their storage options for board games. There are SO many tokens in games nowadays that having somewhere good to store them all is on the top of a lot of people's agenda, and these are darn cheap too...
The organiser boxes are made out of a new material which consists of layers of printed laminated card and EVA memory foam. They are also made so that they will fit everything from your collection back into the boxes you got them out of.
Each of the small trays and boxes comes with easy to assemble instructions and a legend as to how they should be packed away into the game box. They have done inserts for the likes of Gloomhaven all the way down to old favourites like Agricola and Caverna.
I think these are a great idea, giving you a nice cheap way to keep your board games in one place and since they pull out you can have them sorted on the side of the table for when people need to dip into specific pots.
Will you be giving this a look?

When you say ‘a new material which consists of layers of printed laminated card and EVA memory foam’, do you just mean foamboard?
Yes? It’s just what it said on the tin :p
Good question! Well no it’s not foamboard or foamcore, it really is something new! We use sheets of EVA foam, like that you find in flipflops or yoga mats, which has a memory foam effect. To this we laminate quality printed card, which itself has a very thin mat laminate sheet. The resulting material is perfect for game storage, as it’s light, durable, and very easy to work with. Foamboard is different as it is brittle and easily damaged. Checkout twobatsgaming’s review on YouTube for a third party opinion 🙂
I was part of the first KS and am part of this one too. I am very happy with the inserts that I have purchased thus far. Easier to assemble than wood and much lighter too.
I’m in for the Arkham Horror Card Game and Lords of Waterdeep Inserts. It helps that I know someone who backed the first Kickstarter and is very pleased with his!
