Shieldwolf Miniatures Hints At Upcoming Kickstarter
February 23, 2017 by stvitusdancern
Shieldwolf Miniatures makes some pretty impressive miniatures and what they have hinted at on Facebook is no exception. I think creators of miniatures are getting the idea that women can be bad-asses dressed in proper attire for battle.
The Wolf Warden is no exception and is one of the Dragonbred factions that are designed for the Warmaidens/Dragonbred project. The illustration of her walking into battle would intimidate even the most battle-hardened trooper. With her armour and wolf skins makes for quite the imposing figure.
My only criticism at the moment is the face in the drawing is a little cartoonish and I would like to see it drawn a little more to the realism side. Make her more imposing. This miniature will be in 28mm and the Kickstarter will be upcoming in the next few months.
What do you think of her?

I think this looks like the elites or more heavily armored versions?… adding to the range since the Forest Goblin direction didn’t pan out?
I may be wrong, but I’m sure this company did a previous kickstarter and pulled it?
a nice twist on Amazonian warrior’s.
I think there have been a few KS attempts.. the goblins was the most recent one (forest goblins?) and that didn’t work (I may be wrong)… they have Orc models from previous releases.. and then I think they did get some Shield Maidens and a nice Mammoth done via KS I believe… looks like there was also an unsuccessful “starter box” set of orcs vs humans… I do really like the idea of these multipose plastics… some recent plastics (like the C3 and Algoryn from Warlord) that aren’t really as multipose as i’d like and although good, aren’t as useful… Read more »
