Highlands Miniatures Showcases Epic Sons Of Ymir Dwarves!
July 21, 2022 by brennon
Anyone who knows me knows that I love Dwarves. So, it was awesome to see that Highlands Miniatures were on Patreon this month showcasing their amazing 28/32mm Sons Of Ymir Dwarfs (should really be Dwarves...) that you could download and print at home!
Sons Of Ymir // Highlands Miniatures
July offers up a chance to print off a selection of different Dwarf Warriors that could be used to build up the bulk of your army. What's nice about this set is that it offers up hand weapon and shield combinations alongside great weapons and effectively "thunderers". So, you immediately have three of the core units that you need to start building up a new Dwarf army.
Sons Of Ymir Printed Examples // Highlands Miniatures
As you can see, these Dwarves come off the printer looking pretty awesome indeed (as long as you get your settings right!). They also have a look to them that matches the Games Workshop aesthetic from 8th Edition Warhammer Fantasy Battles so they would be a great way to bulk up an existing force.
I think these look amazing. I love the details on the shields and all of the accessories on their belts including mugs and talismans. Their beards are also spot on and look like they are going to be a great focal point on the miniature to paint up.
Sons Of Ymir - August 2022
As well as the core troops available this month, August will also feature more from the Sons Of Ymir. You will be able to download these mighty, heavily armoured warriors.
Sons Of Ymir August Releases // Highlands Miniatures
Whilst the miniatures above would be great as the rank and file, these August miniatures would be great to represent the elite troops that fight alongside their Thanes and Lords. It will be interesting to see what other options come as part of this kit.
There is much more from Highlands Miniatures for you to check out over on their MyMiniFactory Store. If you're looking for some characters or perhaps 3D Printable troops for a lot of other Warhammer adjacent armies, they have you covered.
Are you going to be downloading and printing these?
