New Highlander & Spanish Civil War Troops Report For Duty From Empress
October 13, 2016 by stvitusdancern
Empress Miniatures continues to release some impressive and varied miniatures. This time, they have released somePaul Hicks' Jazz Age inter-war Highlanders with a mortar and they look a little puzzled by some mishap with their mortar.
The detail is quite crisp and would be lovely to paint. You can even see the details on the Sporran and Hackles of each soldier. They would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
The second set is for anyone who likes to delve into the lesser played Spanish Civil War. These Republican troops are in some nice poses and depict loading their weapons along with other action poses.
I really like the action that they are displaying and would add nicely to the mix in your troops so you are not looking at the same miniature over and over. I am a big fan of historical and I would love to get some of these and send them into action.
What is your favorite time period to game?

Paul Hicks is one of the best historical sculptors there is and he has a real eye for detail and getting them historical correct. The Highlanders and the SCW will be finding a way into my Very British Civil War collection, looks like Wind-Gator is on the cards
Stan and Ollie are fabulous!
