Hexy Games Power Up Their Star Scrapper Mechs
August 25, 2015 by brennon
Hexy Games are working on their new range of miniatures called Star Scrappers and have showed off the artwork and render for one of the mechs, H03. See what you make of this bladed warrior...
The model is going to be limited to 100 of them when it goes on pre-order at the beginning of September. It will be neat to see in what direction this game and miniatures go. The one thing that I would be interested to see potentially change is the way in which the weapon arms are designed.
What do you think of the model as it stands?

Having used angle grinders that look’s just wrong even with hydraulics’ the forces going through the arm will be too much to control.
Sweet!
Niice.
First reaction, it looks awesome.
I don’t understand the weapons though. They look like some kind of saw blade but they would not spin through the arm as the blades will hit the guard, and the blades are too thin to be laid flatways like that, they should be turned 90 degrees. The whole weapon is impractical and could only work if it had no moving parts but had a power weapon force-field type thing around it to do the damage.
“Could only work if it had no moving parts but had a power weapon force-field” Lol. I love this sentence, it sums up our wargamer culture. The fact that the technical aspects of the weapon can’t possibly work but if it had mystical energy, it’s all good! Love it. Also, Agree!
Wait…. Retracting blades?! what if they shrink in as they pass the guard? =O
It’s also possible that the guard are really brushes that remove junk from the teeth of the saw.
Actually these blades… could be used as a weapon, but this guy is a miner 😉
I should pay more attention to technical aspect of all elements, thanks for comments!
