HeresyLab & Axia Battle The Undead With New 28mm Grave Wardens
June 23, 2023 by brennon
HeresyLab and Axia Painting Studio are back on Kickstarter with a new project focused on bringing more of the Citizens Of The Old World to the tabletop. Both 28mm digital STL File miniatures and physical resin miniatures are available for those wanting to battle the undead with the Grave Wardens.
Citizens Of The Old World 5.0 Kickstarter // HeresyLab
This is the fifth campaign from HeresyLab which expands the options for their Citizens Of The Old World collection. If you're a fan of games like Mordheim or Warhammer Fantasy Battles then you'll most certainly want to dive into this collection.
The main focal point of this campaign is to bring the Grave Wardens to life. This is a band of grizzled warriors that find themselves making sure that the dead stay dead.
The Grave Wardens // Citizens Of The Old World
These dour killers, armed with all sorts of weapons that they have brought from their previous jobs before joining the Grave Wardens, look like they are a force to be reckoned with. There is a distinctly Witch Hunter vibe to these miniatures and I really like that this is a proper motley crew of the great, the good and the grim. There are some warriors who look like they've come from money (hey, that dude has a pistol!) and others who look like they really were gravediggers before joining up. Perhaps those well-armed folks have been forced into this way of life?
These miniatures are also joined by a selection of Stretch Goals that have also been unlocked (with more to come!). A grim priest of Morr and some guards who are clearly happy that they have found themselves on the right side of the gate when night falls.
Recent Unlocks // Citizens Of The Old World
As well as getting your hands on the Grave Wardens, you are also able to pick up a myriad of different miniatures from previous HeresyLab campaigns. You can, as with the Grave Wardens, get those miniatures in a digital format or as resin miniatures.
It should be noted that the resin miniatures will be printed in resin rather than cast but if they're anything like the stuff we've seen on the Kickstarter, I'm sure that they'll look fantastic. As someone who has always liked the Witch Hunters of Mordheim, this project is particularly hard to resist diving into.
Make sure to have a peek at the Kickstarter and tell us if you've picked up some of the Citizens Of The Old World before!

That’s a mordhiem fighting pack if I ever did see one, lovely stuff ?
Was thinking EXACTLY the same thing when I first saw them (Cheers BoW Staff for highlighting this one, it would have passed me by if you hadn’t 🙂 )
