The Hellesburne Infantry Gather For The Shattered Crown

Dead Earth Games have shown off some of the infantry miniatures for The Shattered Crown that have come together for a big ol' scrap. See what you think of the Hellesburne below in chunky metal...
The team are looking to add a bit more variety to the kits with the likes of the shields but as basic infantry they are pretty neat. I find the idea of sticking metal miniatures down without tabs to just slot into a base a bit of a chore but overall at this stage they aren't looking too bad.

Nah, the poses remind me of old Wargames Factory and look a little awkward.
They do look like the old WGF sculpts. They better try and fix that quickly.
Also they need to add some Heroic scaling to their weapons, that was another problem with the early WGF stuff, sure it looks more realistic, but it is just not practical for gaming pieces.
The small weapons break more often and are harder to repair when broken, not a nice prospect.
They look like action figures.
Those swords look like they won’t last long.
I haven’t, as yet, had any difficulty with the swords but it may be worth us considering beefing them up a little if they do break off. They are metal, of course, so a little less likely to snap then the bayonets I always break off my plastic Napoleonics, but we’ll certainly bear the potential problem in mind. In terms of poses, these are all multi-part models and were glued together by me, they can, naturally, be glued together in a number of different ways which will be different and may be better or more pleasing to individuals.
