Hasslefree Roll Out Three Sexy Resin Ladies
January 26, 2015 by dracs
Hasslefree have released resin master sculpts of three new ladies, two of whom are probably in search of some warm clothes given that it is still January.
First we start with a seductive Succubus.
This is the third succubus have come out with and apparently there are plans for a third incubus and a Succubus Witch to round out the set. These sexy daemons will then help you to make the perfect disturbing coven of creatures for your fantasy games.
After her we meet Gia.
Gia may be bald, but she has plenty of other fine features to make up for this. She started life as one of sculptor Kev's finished dolly's, as he apparently often starts sculpts by making complete naked females before adding clothing. All in all this is a fairly decent sculpt, although Gia has a rather strange pose that makes her look either very graceful, or like she is directing traffic.
Finally, we come to my favourite of the three, a dwarf shieldmaiden named Adalheid.
Adalheid simply has so much more character to her than either of the other two, and I would actually say I think she's more attractive. Aside from the dress, this dwarf shieldmaiden looks like she would more than at home in a melee and could therefore make an excellent character model for a fantasy adventuring party.
Which of Hasslefree's latest three do you like?
Look hasslefree but have to agree the dwarf is the pick of the bunch. Most of the nude female sculpts are well just not that interesting
Edit Love* not look 😛
All three are already rather nice.
The Shieldmaiden wins hand down.
Gia is a traffic cop, causing a bit of a hold up in Cockfosters.
Maybe I’m too picky, but the Dark-Ages-inspired shieldmaiden with a triangular shield looks awkward. A round one with a shield boss should look better, IMHO. Other than that great sculpt, lots of character. Dwarf females don’t get the credit they deserve in miniature hobby.
I agree, but honestly if I was still collecting dark age fantasy miniatures, I’d take whatever I could get. Dark Age fantasy seems so out of fashion in these days of Warhammer ripoffs and godawful Peter Jackson movies as to be virtually non-existent.
A real shame, because Dark Age fantasy is the thing I love most, but I’ve totally given up on it. It is nice to see Hasslefree give at least a nod in its direction.
Check out Reds Box Games female Dwarves
They are true scale so maybe a tad titchy against heroic figures but are superb imho

Reaper makes some good ones as well, as does Scibor.
DungeonPunk has taken over a lot of the lines that do RPG characters (its the style where characters are loaded out with little bits and bobs like our D&D heroes tend to do).
For some non-dungeon punk fantasy, have a good look at Dark Sword’s lineup (I’m a huge fan of both the Ton Meier and Jeff Grace sculpts).
They don’t have loads of dwarves, though. For female dwarves, I’d definitely look at Reaper’s lineup (they have tons of them). And, to be fair, Hasslefree has quite a few nice female dwarves as well.
Just FYI- starting out with a nude sculpt is absolutely standard. Honestly, it is hard to tell how the cloth would hang if you don’t first get the anatomy right.
I have never run across a miniatures sculptor who doesn’t do this.
I have actually seen Kev at hasslefree’s in progress shot I believe some he sculpts from skeleton up, adding muscle, then skin etc – more for the out the way creatures I believe. Very cool to see
