Hasselfree’s Celebration of Liberty
February 22, 2012 by dracs
Hasselfree declares give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free with their latest Libby sculpt.
Not sure what this mini could be used for, but it would definitely be interesting to find out.
What thoughts do you all have on this? Can you think of a use for it?
Paint it copper with some verdigris (since it would be fairly new in this timeline) and use it in Dystopian Wars in a homeland FSA battle – should be about the right look if not exactly the right scale.
I agree with thc303. Thats defenetly good for Dystopian Wars.
Hmm I have Britanans, Justin is thinking of getting FSA… could be something for us to fight over.

How do Relics figs work in DW?
😉
They swim
“Sweet Jeebus! A hundred foot tall ragdoll is attacking Long Island! Where’s my damned air support?”
😀
bury half this in a epic game and shout ‘ your bloody bastards . you bloody stupid bastards’
I would use her as an ice cream vendor.
“Get your tooti-frutti icaa-cream!”
oops, should be tootsi-fruitsi icaa-cream

You could also use this in Carnevale as some places in Europe have small versions. Wether it fits the time period I don’t know, it’s just an idea.
Wrong timeframe for Carnevale was made by a certain Monsieur Eiffel
There is a copy in Paris.
I like the idea of statuary that can be animated during the game and plan to do that in Fear and Faith. Also with a small bit of converting it could be made suitable for other periods, though tbh the Roman like appearance of the robes and pose doesn’t make me think of Venice
Be great in a zombie game as a survivor who was at a fancy dress party when it all kicked off. Could set fire to zombies with her torch 🙂
This miniature really doesn’t look much like the Statue of Liberty beyond the costume. In fact, the facial and body structures as well as the hair style are so different, it seems to me that the miniature was inspired more by a person in a Lady Liberty costume than Lady Liberty herself. A lot of people will dress up as the Statue of Liberty to be patriotic, or advertise for insurance or tax refunds on the street.
Heh, that’s kinda the point. The Libby range of models from Hasslefree are modelled on (or inspired by) the sculptors wife 😉
Thanks for the information! I went to the website to get the full scoop on “Libby.” Seems this model represents the decision made by the Sculptor Kev and his wife Sally (“Libby”) to emigrate to America in a few years.
And here I was trying to concoct a theory of the sculptor being inspired by a roadside advertiser woman…
Hm, I see a sacred codex, a flame weapon and an iron halo – Sisters of Battle character?
