Grunts & Gunslingers Now Available From Icarus Miniatures
October 20, 2015 by brennon
Showing off what they can do in resin the Gunslinger and Nexus Grunt have been added to the webstore for Icarus Miniatures. Both of these models are looking great and I have my very own Gabriel Cross sitting on my painting table just waiting to be given a splash of colour...
The Gunslinger here is presented with his armour on underneath an old school leather duster and a stetson that no doubt has some Sci-Fi property to it. I love the detail they've gone into with the sculpt, especially with the revolver which is very intricate.
Secondly we have an enemy for him to blast apart. The Nexus are probably some of the best looking aliens out there in Sci-Fi games right now and you'll see why once you lock eyes on this beast.
I think they have done well to make the four arms work out and it doesn't look awkward. Having them be smaller than the main arms and sporting knives means that it not only 'works' anatomically but also provides for a good fighting style on the part of the Grunt.
I could imagine they get up close and personal, using their gun to mow down a few of their foes, before lunging out with the knives to take out those not killed by the bullets.
I can't wait to see the alternative sculpts for this unit.
What do you think?

The cowboy does nothing for me but the grunt is very cool.
Those do look really good.
Glad to see the minis for this getting a release even though the KS didn’t hit it’s target.
I like them both, probably going to place an order later this week.
Gunslinger with a Head and Weapon Swap would suit my Star Wars character down to the ground!
Ordered a couple of grunts and the gunslinger – I think both look stunning. Real shame the kickstarter didn’t take off – but I will be following theae very closely. If you have not read the rules, I suggest giving them a go – very much character driven, small skirmishes – and very slick too.
