Gripping Beast Acquires Front Rank’s Historical Collection
January 14, 2022 by brennon
Front Rank Figurines has now been acquired by the folks at Gripping Beast. So, there are plenty of ways to snap up their expansive (and I mean expansive) Historical miniatures for all sorts of periods in 28mm and 40mm.
Henry V // Front Rank Figurines
Orders are still available through the Front Rank Figurines webstore (see above) as operations settle down and things fire up once again. Their offerings include the Medieval period include the War Of The Roses and Hundred Years War.
Richard III // Front Rank Figurines
In addition to that, the collection includes loads of Late 17th Century options alongside the 18th Century, Napoleonics and even 40mm scale American War Of Independence miniatures.
Napoleonic French Carabiniers // Front Rank Figurines
As mentioned, the majority of the range is in 28mm scale so it should work for all manner of different games, whatever takes your fancy. The sculpts are also phenomenal and come packed with detail. I can see why people have been delving into their range for so long!
Jacobite Highlanders // Front Rank Figurines
Alec Brown has done a sterling job on this collection over the years and it's neat to see that this range is going to continue to expand and grow in the coming years now it is under the wing of Gripping Beast. Are you tempted to snap up some of the Front Rank miniatures? Which period interests you the most?

Ooh Nice looking figures.
Been a fan of Front Ranks tricorn wearing hatmen for some time so glad to see they are not going to disappear ?
Great to see the purchase finally complete and orders open back up.
Hopefully, the quality of the castings continues under the new ownership and the range has a good home for many years to come.
Would be fantastic if Gripping Beast did some plastic Jacobites to expand the range.
I can see the beginnings of a Jacobite Silver Bayonet force there, Scotland has some great folklore you could play with. In fact if Magic really does exist anywhere, I would put money on it being in the Highlands
