Gripping Beast Announces Slight Increase In Metal Miniatures Costs
December 23, 2016 by stvitusdancern
The end of the year bring visions of what is to come in the new year and amazing shinies that everyone would like to put on their Christmas list. Along with this comes the reality of running a business in this wonderful world of tabletop gaming.
With this in mind Gripping Beast, one of the companies behind the wonderful miniatures used in SAGA has made the announcement that starting in the new year that the metal miniatures will see a slight bump in their prices, about 50p on average.
Obviously, bigger models will be slightly more than that. If you take into consideration that the cost of the metals used in producing these models is going up approximately 36% that is not too bad of a jump when you consider all the other factors that go into bringing a miniature into the market.
We know first hand the costs that take to develop a miniature from concept to release with packaging. I think fans of Gripping Beast will be able to take this in stride as they have a wonderful product.
What do you think?

Not really a surprise; our caster’s increased his prices by about 50%. Side effects of a strong dollar, unfortunately. 🙁
Sad news but c’est la vie. Better this than them going bust, denying us their fantastic games and minis.
