Grimm Fantasy & Poker Collide For Upcoming Moonstone Kickstarter
May 20, 2016 by deltagamegirl22
Fans of Grimm style fantasy- pay attention here! There's another gaming brewing quietly and will soon be releasing their first miniature via Kickstarter, called Moonstone. The look of this first model has more than caught my attention.
Look at this charming fantasy character! How could you not love this lumbering fellow with his mischievous friend? It's pretty safe (or rather unsafe) to assume that something is going to go BOOM once that flame nears that barrel.
This wonderful new character is slated to be part of a new game called Moonstone, which is set to be a 32mm, skirmish miniature game with a poker-like bluffing mechanic.
If this initial Kickstarter does well, they plan to bring forward a really lovely collection of fantastical characters with truly lovely art direction (from one of my favorite artists!).
If you're interested in knowing more, come over to their Facebook and webpage and get in on their Moonstone playtesting group.
Game or not, this highly flammable character will be a wonderful addition to anyone's fantasy collection.
What do you think of this mischievous pair?

Nice model. Looks interesting. I will certainly check this out when it launches.
Love the look of that mini!
Buckets of character!
Very nice miniature!
Another game using card mechanics, and again with a poker style… where else have I seen this recently?
Hi, are you able to elaborate a little? Would love to know about what sort of competition there is, but also be able to explain what/how we are different.
Hi. Been able to find what I was trying to think of, a KS called Bloodstone Frontier as reviewed in one of the weekenders a couple of weeks ago. Was simply trying to remember.
As a Malifaux player I’m a fan of their card mechanics, and in the same way you can’t criticise a new game for gaving a D6 or d10 based system my post wasn’t meant to be a criticism in any way for using cards.
On the surface your theme appeals to me more than a punk western game, so looking forward to finding out more.
Hi everyone, just to let you know that if you are interested in this, you can find a lot more information at the Moonstone Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/moonstonethegame/
nice love the flamethrower head.
Looks like a really interesting model.
What a nice kit. I’d buy it c:
