Grimdark Preachers & Bookkeepers; New For Wargame Exclusive

Wargame Exclusive has a couple of excellent new grimdark releases for those looking to build on the dark future of worlds like Warhammer 40,000. The first of these is the Imperial Hive Preacher With Retinue.

These 28mm resin miniatures would be pretty darn perfect for those looking to build up a collection of characters to use in roleplaying games and tabletop wargames. The one fellow is bound to his faith and with a book in hand, is no doubt proclaiming the virtues of The Emperor.
He is then joined by two rather sad individuals. The chap at the front is all claws and probably does a lot of protecting when he's not standing still so the Preacher can read. The other chap looks very upset with his current condition as he drags that staff forward.
You can also call on the services of the Imperial Chapter Bookkeeper With Servitor.

This fellow is probably there during battles, recording the events and making sure that all of those big speeches are remembered. I love that his Servitor has basically been turned into a walking library.
There is something oddly fascinating when it comes to the body horror aspects of Warhammer 40,000. I love this weird and quirky side of the world that we often see in the artwork of John Blanche. It's a side of Warhammer that isn't usually present in modern armies but it's very cool.
Are you tempted by either of these sets?

Crikey those are pretty hardcore, and all without a single head on fire (someone in Lenton please take note).
Bring out your corrupted?
wow those are great, you know what is also great?
Alexander?
Updog?
Those look really nice.
As admittedly disturbing as the concept is, there is something kind of cool about an Administratum official/servitor that’s turned his whole body into a massive typewriter for taking down accounts of his unit’s heroic deeds, or tallying up the cost of ammo and troops expended in battle.
