Grimdark Hunters & Road Crews Pop Up From Wargame Exclusive
July 17, 2024 by brennon
Wargame Exclusive has a couple of new sets of 28mm miniatures for you to choose from for your Grimdark Sci-Fi wargames. We'll start with the Greater Good Krooll Spec Ops Team that are going to hunt down targets for their overlords.
The Bird Master // Wargame Exclusive
This set gives you a collection of elite warriors from the Krooll, fighting for the Greater Good as one of their auxiliary forces. Each of the characters in the set has their own theme and backstory including the likes of The Bird Master above and the Squad Leader below.
The Squad Leader // Wargame Exclusive
The Squad Leader for example has proved themselves over a variety of missions and so now carries one of the weapons of their overlords. They also have an iconic, technologically advanced helmet which is as much a sign of their status as it is a key element in how they conduct troops on the battlefield.
There are five miniatures in total from the set which would be great for those wanting to design a unique Kill Team for the likes of Warhammer 40,000.
Krooll Spec Ops Team // Wargame Exclusive
I quite like all of these birdy killers and whilst The Bold Gunslinger is a little derpy with that hat of theirs, I think there's something pretty cool about the miniature at the same time. I also like the axe-wielding fellow as they remind me of one of the characters from Gloomhaven in their design.
Get The Ladz Ready To Race!
As well as the Spec Ops Team above, you can also go a little sillier with the Grot Road Crew who are going to be getting the track ready for a death race of epic proportions.
Road Worker // Wargame Exclusive
The Road Crew comes with five miniatures that can be added to your Grot-based collection serving the big dumb Orks that "think" they are their masters. They will be there tinkering on vehicles, servicing weapons, preparing ambushes and generally being incredibly helpful/annoying.
Road Worker In Tyre // Wargame Exclusive
All of these miniatures seem like an awesome excuse to set up some racing on the tabletop or making a particular thematic force for use in Warhammer 40,000. If you were looking for something more skirmish-based then you could also use these for a game like Modulorka.
Grot Road Crew // Wargame Exclusive
All of these miniatures that you've seen here come in the high-quality resin that Wargame Exclusive uses for all of their range. That means they are packed with detail and should be great for those looking for a fun new modelling and painting challenge.
Are you going to be scooping up either of these new sets?
