A Grey Wind And An Imp Join A Song Of Ice & Fire
June 28, 2017 by dracs
Cool Mini Or Not have shown off two more of the models which will be joining the battle between the Starks and the Lannisters in A Song of Ice and Fire.
A Grey Wind Blows
First, the symbol of House Stark has come to the battlefield as Grey Wind fights beside his master.
"Mankind has employed beasts of war (hey, that's us! - Sam) since the earliest days, but Grey Wind brings an entirely new element to the Stark banner. Where ordinary wolves might be considered frightening, the direwolf known as Grey Wind is absolutely terrifying.
Faster than any man on foot, and nearly as swift as any steed, Grey Wind uses instinct alone to guide him where he’s most needed on the battlefield." - Cool Mini or Not
Grey Wind is an iconic part of House Stark, not least because the dire wolf is on their banner. He's a ferocious, primaeval opponent, whom the enemies of the Starks just aren't ready to deal with on the battlefield.
An Imp Makes His Plots
Meanwhile, on the Lannister side, the youngest of the three siblings, Tyrion Lannister, is lending his wit to the war.
Tyrion Lannister’s brilliant intellect and vast education makes him a formidable opponent at the front lines and far beyond. Few enemies in the War of the Five Kings are any match for Tyrion’s vast knowledge of military science.
His gift for strategic and tactical planning allow ‘The Imp’ to outmaneuver many opponents before battle is ever joined. - Cool Mini Or Not
Tyrion has always been my favourite character in Game of Thrones, and I know I am not alone in that opinion. of course, Tyrion isn't much of a frontline fighter, so I'm looking forward to seeing how they bring his brilliant political mind to the game.
Will you side with the wolf of the Starks, or the imp of the Lannisters?
"He's a ferocious, primaeval opponent, whom the enemies of the Starks just aren't ready to deal with on the battlefield..."

Tyrion here reminds me of the brainy poison-guy from Princess Bride. 😀
This is on KS next month.

wow that is sooner than the autumn they originally said, wonder if that is to capitalise on the new season?
Do like the look of this a hell of a lot. Only concern is the retail support after the KS, as uk distribution still seems a it weak
This has the advantage over WoK and DA of being distributed as a board game.
True, can’t see me not backing this one. Game play looks interesting and love the IP and minis
Both are good looking sculpts.
We already saw Grey Wind in the demo game
