Great-Coated Greens of the French Infantry March from Warlord
April 23, 2014 by dracs
We've been seeing plenty of the troops who took part in the Napoleonic wars marching out of Warlord Games lately, and now we get a quick preview of the next lot; the French Infantry of the late Napoleonic wars.
We have commented before on how great Warlord's attention to detail is and these new plastic infantry are a good case in point. They each wear the great coats that apparently became synonymous with the French infantry, protecting them from the cold and from sabre wounds.
These models will apparently come in three parts, making them pretty easy to assemble. A full army of these guys should be a pretty dramatic sight on the tabletop and I look forward to seeing the finished product.
Can any of you history buffs tell us anything more about the French army of the period?
