Great Escape Games’ 28mm Gunfighters II Set Coming Soon!
March 31, 2022 by brennon
Great Escape Games has put together a preview of their new Gunfighters II plastic set that will be up for pre-order soon with a release in late April. This gives you another set of 28mm miniatures for use in Dead Man's Hand and beyond.
Gunfighters II // Great Escape Games
The set will come with ten multi-part plastic Gunfighters that you could use to mix up your gangs of bandits and vagabonds within your Wild West games. Whilst the first set features all-male miniatures, this set switches things up and introduces female gunfighters into the collection.
As you can see via the sprue, the set comes with all manner of funs, items, accessories and more that can be used to make the white or black hats that you prefer.

You could do a lot of switching and changing with the male kit if you like as well. I don't think it would be too much of a chance to add some of the female heads alongside the bodies and such from the first set. Here you can see one of the painted miniatures by Mystic Spirals...

As you can see, they have come together very nicely. A good lick of paint and you are ready to go. With Dead Man's Hand becoming such a draw for a lot of people at the moment, this and the first set might be worth snapping up so you can play the game yourself.
Are you tempted to snap these up?

arrrrgh! They gots me!
That’s just ketchup…
There’s a literal chicken on the sprue. I think more kits need this. ARE YOU LISTENING GW?
Don’t call folk chicken in the west
is it ok to call them chicken in the east ?
or the north ?
And what about the folks in the south ? 😉
there’s a cactus too … or at least I think it is.
And yes .. we need more silly stuff on sprues.
Is it a chicken, or a cock? Will Justin snip it off?
Yikes you could be right. A very proud cock.
It’s a hen. A rooster would have a comb.
You hear that Justin? You can put the snippers down!
You had to go an ruin it with chicken knowledge 🙂
Some of the frostgrave miniatures have weird things on the sprue.
just the thing to fight the rough-yins harassing the towns folks.
Hey, now that’s right-on! Looking to do some Weird West gaming, and these would be great for gals both good and bad!
Being a native born son of Kansas and having lived here all my life, I can say that there are really only two outcomes to calling someone chicken in the American west. In the 1800’s you’d get shot. Now a days the response would be, “Hold my beer, and give me some room”! ??
Back on subject, I have plenty of minis for my Dead Man’s Hand’ collection but I may need to add these minis!
That is good looking sprue.
Yet another awesome plastic gunfighters kit from Great Escape Games, looking forward to this one!

Since they’re multipiece, you can fill anything missing in your current collection (eg. unarmed guy), as well as make your “what you see is what you play” models, and even swap heads (and torsos) between models, if your guy needs a change of clothing.
