A Graceful Giant’s Riders Takes Shape For Twilight
June 6, 2016 by brennon
Twilight is one of those charming games that has really caught our attention and so when we saw this preview of a new model coming to life we had to show it off. See what you make of the Dompak Riders...
The actual models here are the riders that you see clambering all over the Dompak. I think this is an amazing piece and the amount of character that they have been able to work into the riders is fantastic.
As the fellow behind the sculpting said it's going to be fun trying to remove this from the model in order to send it off to be cast. Hopefully it shouldn't be too much of a problem!
I keep looking at the riders and seeing some more details. I love the amount of paraphernalia that they have stashed on their beast of burden and the little folk slinging stones at their aggressors.
I can smell a scenario coming along where you have to protect a herd of these as they pass through the grasslands.
What do you think?

looks good I can see the slinger’s attacking a T-rex from a group of these?
quite nice but I think the sculpting is not up to todays standards for most companies
Are probably right to say that the technical quality is not comprable to, say, GW or Corvus Belli but I honestly don’t think this range is about pushing the boundaries of casting and packing as much detail as possible. The models are just so well balanced and thought out, as well as being really original in concept, that I really believe that character is what is being sought rather than just raw technical perfection.
Another lovely sculpt from World of Twilight.
A herd of these would be HUGE 😀
WoT keeps gripping at my heartstrings.
I think the Twilight range is probably my favourite range of fantasy models at the moment. They just have so much charm and character. I really like this one especially.
