Get The Goat For Scibor’s New Dwarf Lord
April 26, 2016 by dracs
Scibor Monstrous have rammed (hehe) out another Dwarf Lord for their range of short fantasy warriors, this one sitting atop a mountain ram to bring the charge to the enemy.
Mountain rams are a rather fitting mount for a dwarf, being small, hardy and very dangerous over short distances. Indeed, I believe they were the race's chosen mounts in the Eragon series.
I think Scibor have done a great job with this sculpt. Pictured in mid leap, It's cool to see the normally defensive dwarves charging for a change.
What sort of mount do you think best fits the dwarfs? Do you like Scibor's selection of dwarf miniatures?

Great mini! But at this point I would expect no less from him =)
Very nice.
Bah… Baaah, I say. It’s not the black sheep of the range, it’s even high up in this range, but the Scibor style now seems set in stone. Even when he produces something seemingly original (he’s never really done goat-riders before, for example) it manages to look like everything else he’s done : same bodies, same faces, same armor style and stamped ornaments. It’s lovely if you want a homogenous army, and it’s not badly sculpted at all, but I do long for something new from Scibor… he’s a sculptor that is, in my opinion, wasting his potential doing only… Read more »
Still, a beautiful model. He makes the best dwarfs out there imo, with Mom Miniatures a close second (and more affordable).
I hope it comes without the scenic base. It would be nice to put together a unit of these, but I’m thinking the cost may be prohibitive. I almost had to refinance my home to put together a unit of his bear riders. Don’t get me wrong. They were totally worth it! 🙂
He really does make the best dwarves… even though Avatars of War are up there as well. It’s largely due to the fact that it has been a long while since GW has done a dwarf worth mentioning in my book (with knees, for a start) even though some of their pre-Age of Sigmar releases weren’t too bad.
