The Gitmob Ridez Again In Warhammer Age Of Sigmar!
November 25, 2024 by brennon
The greenskins of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar are going to be getting all manner of awesome new miniature releases from Games Workshop next year. The Gloomspite Gitz are getting a new Battletome and whilst they do still have access to the darkness-dwelling Moonclans, the Gitmobs are ready to ride forth and stick it to ol' Glareface Frazzlegit (the realm of Hysh).
Droggz Da Sunchompa // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
The aim of the Gitmobs is to ride out into The Mortal Realms and make use of that glorious glowing orb in the heavens. Whilst they really don't like Hysh, they do respect its power as a bully and so use the realm stone to blow up their enemies at the end of a devastating charge. The realm stone and its magics are worked into their arms and armour which is a neat way to take the Goblins of The Mortal Realms.
Leading the way is Droggz Da Sunchompa (above) who has lived for longer than pretty much any other of his kind. He rides on the back of his fearsome mount, Jaggedsnarl, and leads the charge against the enemy. An impressive miniature and one that carries over some interesting nods to classic Wolf Riders and Goblins of Warhammer Fantasy Battles.
More Leaders!
More leaders can be added to this rampaging army with the likes of the Snarlboss On War-Wheela.

These Snarlboss' are armed with fearsome weapons in their own right and the wolves aren't too shy about tearing apart their enemies either. The Snarlboss also makes use of a concoction that explodes out of the back of their chariots, giving them a serious burst of speed. It seems greenskins in The Mortal Realms are fans of speed just like those in the Grimdark Future.
As well as a martial leader figure, you can also call on the weird magic of the Frazzlegit Shaman On War-Wheela.

These spellcasters ride around, blinding their enemies with the power of Hysh and sending toxic smog billowing out to smother foes. I would imagine both the Shaman and Snarlboss can be made from the same kit.
The majority of your Gitmob will then be made up of miniatures like these. The Snarlpack Cavalry will make up most of your army, riding around on the back of hand-reared wolves. A few extra hands and by extension, a few extra spears, are going to be good at making sure the enemy got driven into the dirt.

Rumbling around on the back of chariots, you also have the Sunsteala Wheelas. This is an excellent set featuring a bunch of fun-loving Gitz armed with spears, bows and more.

I am a big fan of the new miniatures we're seeing for the Gloomspite Gitz. I think the design work going on here for The Mortal Realms and Warhammer Age Of Sigmar is brilliant. You can see that the sculptors and designers seem to have more free reign to go wild with their designs rather than being hampered by the background and what has come before in Warhammer 40,000.
Last but not least, we had a special miniature that is a proper call back to classic Warhammer Fantasy Battles. See what you make of this new Doom Diver Catapult.

This set comes with some great alternative poses for the crew and Doom Divers throwing themselves into the heat of battle. I like that the Doom Diver takes on the form of artillery but also a rampaging chariot in its own right. It's almost Mad Maxian in its design. You could see this rolling along the plains alongside the wolves and chariots.
A good core of a new Gitmob Army will come as part of this new Gitmob Army Set which will land ahead of the full release of the miniatures and the Battletome.

It comes with your Sunsteala Wheelas, Snarlpack Cavalry and Droggz Da Sunchompa. This feels like a great way for you to expand the Gloomspite Gitz in Warhammer Age Of Sigmar without going too off the wall.
Games Workshop also mentioned that the new Battletome will come with ways for you to dive into the narrative aspect of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar in new ways. For example, it will allow you to make a Troggoth character to lead your armies!
Will you be picking up this new Gitmob range for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar?
