Ghost Train Games are back on Kickstarter to try and fund their Alternative Civil War game where science and magic collides to create some awesome units and interesting battles. Check it out...
Some more about the game...
“Alternative Civil War is a 28mm scale miniature skirmish wargame set in an alternate world. Impossible science collides with ancient powers and mythical beings clash with courageous soldiers over the American Civil War battlegrounds in a conflict that has transcended its own frontiers."
"This is a skirmish game of miniatures of the finest quality, cast by some of the best professionals in the industry. The game ranges from 6 to 16 models per side and the rules are easy. It has a deep tactical component, using one or two 20 sided dice to resolve every action in a single roll. An elegant system of alternating turns will keep both players on the edge, avoiding long waits while your opponent finishes his turn and creating a swift and dynamic battle."
It certainly looks like they've got the miniatures down and the gameplay, as you can see in the video above, looks pretty solid too. It was a shame to see this not make it last time but they've tweaked a few things and seem to be going great guns this time around with a much lower target goal.
The North and South are the two armies you would hope were part of the battles that are being fought here and have some cool units to play with. I like the Ned Kelly style armour their wearing for one. As well as these two armies though the Spanish and Natives have also shown up to throw their hat into the ring...
Less miniatures sorted out for these warriors at the moment but it's worth taking a closer look at the artwork as they have plenty of cool ideas to develop further down the line.
If you want to find out more about the game and give it a go they've uploaded the rules and profiles to their Kickstarter page so you can give it a go before you delve in and pledge for the game.
Good luck to them this time around!

I really like the look of this.
Looks to be a serious rip off of Wild West Exodus…. there are far too many similarities. Spain led by Ponce de Leon, Beast natives… you name it!
