Germanic Hordes Rampage From Sally 4th’s New Campaign
February 5, 2024 by brennon
Sally 4th is back on Kickstarter with a new campaign that is looking to help you build some epic Ancient armies in 28mm. For The Glory Of Rome is looking to make it so you can pick up a mighty force of Roman soldiers to go up against the barbarians of the Ancient world. Campaign one covered the Romans and this second campaign is focused on the Germanic hordes.
For The Glory Of Rome - The Germans // Sally 4th
Whilst the first campaign covered the Roman legions, this second campaign brings us the Germanic Tribesmen that were part of the Germania Campaign. The plan is that all of the miniatures will be released for both sides of this campaign before moving on to different Roman campaigns. Perhaps we'll see the Romans headed to Britain to go up against the Celts?
Germanic Warrior // Sally 4th
The collection of figures on offer are in 28mm and made of metal. They should fit in with a lot of other ranges out there from different manufacturers so if you're looking to throw in a few different characters and such, you should be sorted. The close-ups that you're seeing here are just a few of the different miniatures you can build to mirror the variety of Early German Warriors that would have been fighting on the battlefield during this period.

There is a good range of bodies for you to choose from alongside plug-in head and weapon options alongside your proper shields and the decals to fit! There are two core pledge levels for this campaign if you're looking to get your hands on the Germanic Warriors that you see here.
Germanic Warband // Sally 4th
The German Tribesmen set just offers a handful of ten miniatures which could be used to add to an existing collection or maybe start a small warband in a skirmish-level game. You can then go BIG with the Germanic Horde which ratchets things up a bit with sixty-four miniatures for you to choose from and build as you wish.

There is also a pick n' mix option where you choose what you like from Sally 4th's collection and there is a Skirmish Combo Pledge which allows you to get some Germanic Warriors and Roman soldiers so you can start playing some battles with your friends.
As you might have guessed, there are lots of Stretch Goals and Add-Ons for you to choose from as well as part of this campaign. Plus, Sally 4th has added their Cloth Battlefields and Terrain Patches which are handy for making quick battlefields with footprints for ease of play.
Make sure to dive in and check out the campaign. Tell us what you think!
