General’s Handbook 2017 Coming To Age Of Sigmar This Year
June 27, 2017 by brennon
Age Of Sigmar will now be getting yearly updates in the form of the General's Handbook and the 2017 edition of it will be coming out later this year packed with new content from Games Workshop.
The new book will be lighter in some areas and heavier in others. As well as updates and balance tweaks across the board to armies they will be dropping Path To Glory into its own supplement and instead replacing it with rules for siege warfare and rules for battles across all of the different realms that exist within Age Of Sigmar.
You'll also find new and updated rules for multiplayer games learning from the way Triumph & Treachery worked in the older edition of Warhammer Fantasy. New allegiance abilities are also thrown into the mix as different forces band together to take on greater foes.
Do you think these yearly updates are a good way of keeping the player base happy and expanding on Age Of Sigmar?

The 2017 book is coming this year you say? 😉
That’s just a rumor. They could release a 2017 book anytime they want…
Like the 25th anniversary edition of Heroquest.
It is about time …. I was expecting the 2017 General’s Handbook last year.
Seriously though I love how they are updating the rules etc in a booklet on a yearly basis. Much more preferable to new editions
@brennon I do think this is a great way to rebalance the game and at the same time move it forward. I’m also looking forward to seeing how this works with the new 40k.
Overall a good way of keeping the community at the same place with rules / points values etc, without having the issue of army imbalance.
Not really surprised by this since GW was going to do yearly updates for 40k. It might one day make Warhammer Fantasy playable again.
