Conan: Rise Of Monsters Gearing Up For Gen Con 2016
July 27, 2016 by brennon
You might remember that we took a look at Conan: Rise Of Monsters (CROM) when it was looking for fundraising. Well, since then it Pulposaurus have joined forces with Ulisses Spiele to bring it to the tabletop and they are gearing up to show off the game at Gen Con 2016.
George Vasilakos here is seen adding the finishing touches to some of the masters they have received. The game is also going to be made in partnership with Reaper Miniatures so a big team is assembling behind this game to make it a reality.
The game focuses on you picking up an army of pre-painted models that, by all reports, will blow conventional pre-paints out of the water when they are finally produced. You'll then take to the tabletop for big battles set in the Conan setting.
Here you can see some of the work going into the models to show off at the convention. They will be heading to Kickstarter at some point but when that is they aren't sure yet. Still - we think we should keep an eye on this one.
Has this game caught your attention?

Ooh, a mammoth for Justin and one to use for KoW Ogres.
Those look really good.
they may be good for LoTR Harad troops as well.
They will be heading to Kickstarter, didn’t they do one for this already?
There has been a few Conan related KS – An “Age of Conan” Strategy board game, a Modiphius RPG and the well funded (>$3m) “Conan” boardgame with minis by Monolith (running late, but should be dropping this year).
CROM was cancelled on KS last August, but they’re preparing to re-launch soon having put in place various supplier/distributor arrangements ahead of time.
I knew there were many Conan KS but i also knew i saw these miniatures, so thanks for your help.
About what we see here i have to say i hope the painting gets better right now i can’t see a difference between these and the old AT-45 miniatures, they need at least a wash.
prepainted? tell me more!^^
