Beyond The Gates Of Antares Alpha Rules Now In Cyberspace!

Warlord Games have now released their Alpha Rules for Beyond the Gates of Antares to those who signed up and you can still get your hands on them by checking out the link HERE...
It's going to be interesting to see how this goes down with fans and how the rules stack up against existing books from Warlord Games. If any of you have already got their download maybe you can enlighten us as to what the insides are like!

I am enjoying what I am seeing in the Alpha Rules. Rick & Co don’t want such an early draft disseminated just yet, so he has asked people involved in the playtest forum to keep a lid on things. Suffice to say that the rules employ a modified Bolt Action system for most of the core mechanics, and that from what I have seen it retains all the robustness and tactical nuances afforded by that system while making changes to help it accommodate a far future, high tech setting. I got a good vibe from the rules so far. I always wanted to try Bolt Action with sci-fi and this will fit the bill.
Well they should have done this when the kickstarter came out, but i’m really glad this project keeps moving forward, i’m very interested in supporting it once they have solid starter boxes.
I was on the original Kickstarter but am spread far too thinly these days so I’ll give it a miss though I hope it does well.
Its not a kickstarter this time. Every thing is in house at warlord games. This is for the Alpha rules. 🙂
Just registered for the rules. I like the Bolt Action take on unit activation a lot.
