Ganesha Games Working On Dwarves & Halflings For Next Project
July 21, 2015 by brennon
The Song of Blades & Heroes project is a very popular one right now and Ganesha Games are going to be building on the success of their Fightin' Fungi project with some Dwarves for use with the same rules set. See what you think of them...
Weremoles?
Yes you did read that title right. As well as some more typical looking Fantasy Dwarves which you can see below they have also been working on the Weremoles which take the digging side of the Dwarves to a whole different level.
I think their design is really top notch and I like the old school look to their bearded heroes. I could see these popping up in a range of different role-playing scenarios as well as Song of Blades & Heroes.
I particularly like this chap above with the Dragon Head helmet. I like to think he killed the drake and then despite other Dwarves telling him it looked silly he wanted to wear it as a helmet anyway. It would certainly be quite the talking point.
Bearded Barbarians
As well as the single models above there have been a few pledges shown off too for the upcoming campaign. One such selection is their group of Barbarian Dwarves...
Once again we've got an old school take on the Dwarves with a dash of something new too. As well as just being warriors we've got some mystics too (seen in the last image). I love the character clutching the staff in both hands at the very bottom, a very cool sculpt.
Plucky Halflings
Not to be outdone there are also some Halflings coming to the project. These characters are still in the artwork stage right now but hopefully we'll see some models soon...
I'm mostly looking forward to seeing how those Hound Riders work out. I think they look like they could be a cool addition to many a force. It might be interesting to see how far you could take these models when turning them into a larger force for a game like Kings of War too.
