April 29, 2024 by brennon
The Game Of Thrones Miniatures Game is now available for you to snap up from Knight Models. If you're looking for a way to get stuck into some Westeros-based skirmishes in 35mm then maybe have a peek at this Fantasy game.
Game Of Thrones Miniatures Game - Core Set // Knight Models
The Game Of Thrones Miniatures Game is a skirmish-based game for two players inspired by the TV show. The set comes with a rulebook as well as sixteen thermoplastic miniatures. You'll also get scenery for you to set up on the tabletop, two decks of game cards, dice and markers.

The miniatures in the core set feature both the Starks and the Lannisters battling it out for The Iron Throne. You'll also note that the set comes with a miniature for Ned Stark if you order from the folks at Knight Models.

Cersei Lannister // Game Of Thrones Miniatures Game
The miniatures from the set look fantastic. They are incredible likenesses to the characters from the TV show and the actors. I think they have particularly captured the awesome sneer of Lena Headey's Cersei Lannister for example.
If you're more of a Stark person then you can get your hands on miniatures for the likes of Robb Stark and Catelyn Stark.

Catelyn Stark // Game Of Thrones Miniatures Game
Each of the main characters from both the Lannisters and Starks comes backed up by a band of soldiers who will be supporting them in their clashes on the tabletop. There's not much concerning the gameplay of the Game Of Thrones Miniatures Game at the moment but keep an eye out as I'm sure more will be popping up.
Game Of Thrones Miniatures Game Expansions
As well as the core set above, there are also some bonus sets available for you to pick up. Both help to enhance the Lannisters and Starks and provide you with different options when building your skirmish force.
King Joffrey And His Court // Game Of Thrones Miniatures Game
King Joffrey leads the way in this set with his crossbow at the ready. Joffrey is backed up by Tyrion Lannister, The Hound and Bronn. Once again, the likenesses are awesome and I particularly like the look of Bronn (one of my favourite characters from the books/TV show) and The Hound. It seems a shame that Tyrion isn't pictured in his armour as he would have worn during one of his only forays into the melee.
On the Stark side of things, we have the Wolf Pack.
Wolf Pack // Game Of Thrones Miniatures Game
The Wolf Pack features more characters from the Stark household. Arya Stark is getting ready to shank her foes whilst Sansa is working behind the scenes on all manner of machinations. You also have Bran being carried around by Hodor and Osha.
All of these miniatures can be picked up from Knight Models right now. Even if you're not someone who's going to play the game, the miniatures look great and would be perfect for collectors and hobbyists just wanting to paint them up.
Are you tempted by this new range of figures?

Knight models always blow me away
Miniatures look good, but requires an app to play.
Terrain looks a bit crappy. Not a fan of carboard terrain. The stuff in Infinity starters is terrible.
“App required” is a solid no go then. Shame.
That looks awfully like cardboard scenery too.
