With a new version of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar: Warcry coming out soon, Games Workshop has been offering some ways to update your warbands for use in the game. Free (yes, free) Fighter Profiles for the various Grand Alliances have been made available throughout the week.

Within each of the PDFs (or in the case of Grand Alliance Order, four PDFs!) you'll find Fighter Profiles for each of the characters you can choose when building a warband for Warcry. There are plenty of different options allowing you to use pretty much every miniature in your collection.

As well as the Fighter Profiles (which come with updated rules and new points costs) you'll also find the Faction Rules for each of the warbands as well. That means the special abilities that both your Fighters and your Heroes generate when rolling dice during the initiative step on a given turn.

The Fighter Profiles for Order, Destruction and Death have been added into the mix for the moment. You'll also find some additional Monster rules included within each PDF so you'll be able to tame some beasts and use them in your adventures.

A rather fun way to get people tinkering around with warbands ahead of the release of the new Heart Of Ghur set and subsequent separate rulebooks and such. If you have the current version of Warcry you could at least give things a go to see how you like the new updated profiles.

It's handy that the basic mechanics of Warcry have not changed from the first to the second edition. Instead, there have just been a few FAQ-based tweaks and a couple of new mechanics that are additions rather than total reworks.
