Mantic Games are keeping us occupied with another nice free release for tabletop gamers this week. If you're into your Fantasy adventures then you might want to check out the Rise Of The Shadow King Adventure Book which is now FREE to download.

Much like the classic adventure books of old, you break this out and play through the game with you as the hero. Your decisions will dictate how the story unfolds and all you need is a pencil, eraser and some normal six-sided dice. Because of its branching narrative, you'll be encouraged to return to it, again and again, to see what might happen.

As well as being able to play this yourself, the team at Mantic Games are going to be playing through this adventure themselves next week so you can join them to see who survives the longest! It isn't quite like playing a full game of Kings Of War or Dungeon Saga but it's a good stopgap.
