French publisher Sans Detour have a crowdfunding campaign running on Ulule at the moment to bring out a new French translation of Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition. However, they don't seem to be stopping at a simple translation...
Call of Cthulhu is an incredibly popular pen and paper horror RPG set in the dark and disturbing world populated by the creations of H. P. Lovecraft and his contemporaries. Players take on the role of investigators, searching for clues in order to stop unimaginable terrors. Yet the deeper they go down the rabbit hole the more they feel their sanity slipping away.
This crowdfunding campaign to bring out a French translation of Chaosium's rules for 7th edition has met with a huge amount of success. It is easy to see why as Sans Detour aren't just promising a translation, but all new books and game aids filled with awesome artwork!
The quality being promised by Sans Detour is incredible. I wish I spoke French so I could fully appreciate these new editions! It is cool to see that French players will soon be able to get gaming in the latest version of this classic RPG, with all new goodies to help spark the imagination and get started in the race to san 0.
Are you a French gamer planning to help fund this? Would you like something like this to appear in English?

Call of Cthulhu is a huge sell in France… very popular, it never was playing second fiddle to D&D, for example. This edition is a big deal,… Read more »
If you don’t speak French but are interessed in the new pictures you may have a look at the ‘Le Codex de l’Innomable’. For 30 euros it is 128 pages of monster descriptions with pictures showing the size of each monster compared to a human being.
There is an additional 10 euros for shipping to within Europe though.
