FossilPunk Show Off The Cope Collective’s Crazy Machines
September 24, 2016 by brennon
FossilPunk Foundry has shown off another of the factions for their 54mm skirmish game, Sauriana. This time, they're focusing in on the cold and clinical Cope Collective.
The image above shows off one of their weird and over the top Steampunk contraptions. The Cope Collective are focused on science and making sure that they can use it to augment their deficiencies and gain the upper hand when off on an expedition.
"In the game of Sauriana, the Cope Collective excels at board control and ranged combat – a mix of fragile, specialized scientists and engineers supported by lumbering, immensely resilient automatons.
Their individual Agents tend to be geared for supporting one another and synergizing on the battlefield, and with the right Assets to equip them, can be an incredibly difficult faction to beat."
As well as creating these automatons to guard their precious collections of relics and other paraphernalia they also have other agents in their employ like the Pinkertons.
We're getting some very interesting factions coming to life for Sauriana all with different avenues of approach to tackling the dangers and fortunes before them.
Will you be keeping an eye on this faction?

I bet it runs on fossil fuel 😛

Really, really liking this… I haven’t done any 54mm stuff since Inquisitor… and really, never got super into that.. painted up like 3 models… they were fun to work on though… I’m a bit concerned about the terrain… might end up just doing generic natural formations and avoid too much civilized buildings… or i was looking at AirFix and they have 1/32 (54mm) ruined outposts from WWI/WWII stuff… also wondering about getting some generic 1/32 soldiers and maybe 1/32 or 1/35 dinosaurs to proxy stuff… Fossilpunk have also mentioned the models coming with SecretWeapon sculpted bases… which is very cool…… Read more »
I think for terrain anything big and industrial like machinery, and of course natural woodland/jungles etc is going to be your friend – avoid doors! 😉
it looks top heavy & the feet are to wee I think.
yeah… I think if it’s in a more dynamic pose, those sorta backwards ankle/dinosaur ankle might not be so clearly too small.. but yeah.. gonna be hard to balance in real life =p
So we have a Skeleton Steampunk Victorian Robot Velocoraptor?
Did I miss any descriptors for that one?
54 mm Skeleton Steampunk Victorian Robot Velocoraptor of DOOM!!!
