The Force is Weak with Fantasy Flight Games
February 9, 2012 by brennon
It seems in an interesting twist we won't be getting our hands on the Star Wars Living Card Game from Fantasy Flight Games until much later in the year.
The new card game was meant to be out in the first half of the year, and had already been shown off at Gen Con and other conventions. However, it was felt that as the release date crept up on them the game was not at all how they had imagined it.
Fantasy Flight Games have gone back to the drawing board and are hoping to get the game out before the end of the year during the Christmas period.
Anyone who played the game at Gen Con? What do you think of this change?

Thats shame. I was waiting for this game.
I don’t think its a shame, I think it shows FFG as being a rather brilliant games developer, Having the gonads to pull a release at this point because it doesnt play as well as they hoped can only be good news for people who buy the thing long term.
It will undoubtedly have cost them money, so its brave, indeed, the next thing they release that remotely interests me I’ll make a point of buying, simply because they deserve to be supported for running the business this way.
If they were brilliant, they would’ve done it right the first time around. Further, it’s not gonads, it’s common sense after the Mansions of Madness debacle.
I wouldn’t go as far as to simply call them sloppy, but at very least to me they seem overstretched with all their product lines.
tickles me that your name is Lucas :p
What Mansions of Maddness debacle? I just bought that game! Are you talking about the expansions?
I wasn’t interested in the LCG and thought the RPG would be at least a year or more after the LCG (which was supposed to be the first of their Star Wars games) finally appeared. So, for me, this is great news (even though I just completed my Saga edition set of books a few months ago).
