The Barons War Rulebook // Footsore Miniatures & Games
Set during the 1200s, you are going to be plunged into a turbulent time for the Kingdom Of England as barons rose up against King John's rule of the country. These rules focus in on fast-paced and tactical skirmishes between the Barons and their men as they seek to carve out a portion of England for themselves.

Games of The Barons' War are set against a backdrop of turmoil and civil war as well as the incoming advances of the Crown Prince Of France. To that end, you could very easily pick a famous figure from the period and play out your games as them or perhaps create your own Baron from some small corner of England who is seeking to make a name for themselves.
As well as the rulebook you'll also be able to pick up a set of Action Tokens which will be helpful for gameplay and pre-orders will allow you to snag the free Bishop Of Winchester ahead of its general release too.
Bishop Of Winchester // Footsore Miniatures & Games
This is a fascinating period of history to get invested in because it's not following England going up against some foreign power. It's very much about infighting across the muddy and bloody fields of England, focused specifically around an era that I've personally not seen explored much in wargaming.
This time was packed with fascinating and larger than life characters as well as insidious and scheming individuals too. There is a lot of space to delve into the narrative with The Barons' War! More information is available over on the Warhost website which is the home of The Barons' War and as if that wasn't enough, a Dark Age spin-off game is also on the way for those who prefer their Vikings and Anglo-Saxons.
Are you tempted by The Barons' War range and rules?
