Footsore Look Ahead To Mortal Gods: Mythic Kickstarter
January 16, 2020 by brennon
Footsore Miniatures & Games are now powering up to dive into their Kickstarter project for Mortal Gods: Mythic which throws mighty creatures and epic heroes into a world of warring states in Ancient Greece.
The Kickstarter is focusing in on a release at the end of January (January 26th to be specific) and will feature some fascinating new models like the mighty Hydra that you see above which has been sculpted by the amazing Trish Carden.
As well as working with Carden, the team will also be working with the talented Stavros Zouliatis who has sculpted many miniatures for their Mortal Gods range already. In addition to the Hydra, you'll also find yourself coming up against the likes of Cyclops and Harpies and much more besides. A lot of the models have already been sculpted and there will be much more to see as the Kickstarter closes in.
Andy Hobday and George Asling have created rules for all of these Heroes & Creatures that will be able to fight alongside your existing warriors. A lot of the models are going to be available in high-quality resin too as a heads up!
Even if you're not into playing games set within Greek Mythology, the monsters and characters that they will have available in this Kickstarter would be absolutely fantastic for use in the likes of SAGA: Age Of Magic, Oathmark, Frostgrave, Kings Of War and pretty much any other Fantasy game that you might have on the tabletop right now.
Make sure to mark the date in your diary!

I have quite a bit of Greek myth stuff on the pile. If there’s a pick whatever you like pledge I’m sure I’ll see plenty I like. I’ll never hang on to any money. Damn you Footsore!
the Hydra has arrived in the studio and I shall be doing an unboxing and build on it as soon as possible so stay tuned for that.
It looks like he’s holding his sword wrong….
Thankfully, that is a proper style of sword held that way 😉
Really interested in this. Throw in the Wargames Atlantic Classic Skeletons and away we go!
you and me both man. I love me some Greek Myths. Wonder if they are going to sculpt the gods, love to see a mythic battles style Athena and Ares
You’ll have to teach me these myths, I have only watched Sinbad and Jason and the Argonauts movies!
There are a couple of companies that have done the different Gods. I think…

…provides you with a good selection if you want to add some in if Footsore don’t look at it.
Trish has said that the Cyclops is the second biggest she has sculpted for the range, so if not the gods maybe a Talos or something of it’s ilk
Ooh great looking figures.
