Coven Kickstarter Preview // Footsore Miniatures & Games
Coven welcomes you to the sinister forests and dark mountains of The Cauldron. Ancient crones watch over the land, the Ved'ma, working to command the land and the peoples unfortunate enough to make their home there. This game is inspired by the myths and folklore of Eastern and Central Europe, blending together Slavic and Russian legends with "a dash of Transylvania thrown in".
The Rhyme Of Elkapoa // Coven
The new game they have planned features miniatures based on the amazing artwork of John Wigley. Chris Bone has worked on the background story and lore of the game whilst Mark Farr of Footsore is in charge of the miniatures. Andy Hobday also has a hand in this project, designing the rules that you'll be using during your skirmishes.
In an interesting twist, Coven looks like it will have you taking command of the Ved'ma and all manner of gruesome creatures as you aim to take control of The Cauldron.
This looks fascinating and it's nice to see more games coming out that step away from the traditional tropes of Medieval Fantasy.
Are you going to be delving into this when it arrives on Kickstarter?

Looks interesting.
I need another fantasy skirmish game like I need a hole in the head. The minis look stunning and original though. I’ll keep a close eye out for what appears.
I have the same problem. I think this is really interesting, but at this juncture I don’t want and don’t have the resources to start a new skirmish game. If it was a generic fantasy ruleset where you could use any models, then I would get the rulebook for my collection. I will wait till more info is revealed. But I have to say, I love that the rhyme is associated with the model.
This is sounding really interesting an differently new.
Been waiting for this from the first mention of it and will be jumping head first and all in.The artwork is amazing and the models look stunning and totally unique
I love skirmish games and this is right up my strasse
Might even sell a kidney to fund it
In a bloody heartbeat
I’ve been waiting for news of this since I first saw the artwork.
yeah I know what you mean its almost 3 years now I think since I saw that celtic cauldron I was beginning to think that they’d given up
