Flytrap Factory Showcase Some Fantastically Weird Investigators
December 15, 2020 by brennon
Every so often we get another peek at the wonderful sculpting of Flytrap Factory and this week gave us a preview of some fascinating miniatures. The 28mm range of The International Bureau For The Investigation Of Eldritch Phenomena miniatures popped up on social media!
The Lantern Lighter // Flytrap Factory
This collection looks to span the gap between something Fantasy-based and something with a bit of a Lovecraftian twist. Each of the miniatures appears to be Gnomes of some sort if their stature and ears are anything to go by but all are dressed in a decidedly Dickensian way. You could imagine them wandering the streets of a Fantastical and yet smoggy London.
The Chimney Sweep // Flytrap Factory
The fun thing is that there isn't just a handful of these miniatures; there are loads of them! This preview shows off all manner of fascinating characters which I reckon would be very fun to paint. You could have a nice time working on their drab and tatty clothing with a few hints here and there to the more eldritch Fantasy elements on show.
The Grave Digger // Flytrap Factory
It will be very interesting to see what happens with this range going forward. They may simply arrive on their webstore as a selection of miniatures to paint up and that would be fine! They would, of course, be a fun way to approach your next Lovecraftian tabletop game, especially if you wanted to put an extra twist on it.
The Grenadier Guard // Flytrap Factory
There is all manner of fascinating characters here and I thought I'd show off the rest below...
The Petty Constable // Flytrap Factory
The Priest Exorcist // Flytrap Factory
The Shoe Cobbler // Flytrap Factory
The Witch Hunter // Flytrap Factory
This feels like a massive world which is worth exploring even more. I think there is scope to find out more about not just these individuals but the other creatures that make up this world. We did get a peek at these Eldritch Uglies this week too!
Eldritch Uglies // Flytrap Factory
I can't wait to see what else is in the pipeline from Flytrap Factory. I always love seeing what they've been working on as it takes me off on some flight of fancy. Are you going to be keeping an eye on what they've been doing?

These are great. Very characterful with their own unique feel. Each seems to come with its own story and those Uglies are very cool.
