Fly High & Tinker With Anvil’s New Accessories
October 23, 2015 by brennon
Anvil Industry have shown off that they're not giving up on their other Sci-Fi ranges just yet for AFTERLIFE. They have come up with a new set of accessories, the Mechanical Arm set and then the Exo-Lord Jetpacks for soaring through the skies...
These Mechanical Arms are used to slot onto the back of an Exo-Lord trooper or character from their range and give them a range of different tools and weapons to use for fixing things AND destroying them too. I quite like all the gribbly bits and pieces they've got going on here showing off all the inner workings.
The same goes for the Jetpacks which have been designed to show off some of the inner workings but also looking hard wearing. I'm sure they would yank your body around like a rag doll if you weren't donning some seriously heavy armour.
You can see them in more detail here. They actually look a little bit like they'd work nicely with Spartans from Halo in their segmented structure. You also get the neat bit of basing material thanks to Anvil making their sprues into something useful.
What do you think of these bits and bobs?

Turning the sprue bar into something useful is an excellent idea.
That is a great idea. Turn something that is often cast away into something used is fantastic. If you gather many from your purchases from them they could be used to make a terrain piece not just basing details.
It is a good idea; Pig Iron minis have been doing it for a few years now, and I was hoping it would catch on with other manufacturers…
