Firelock Games Release Preview Of Oak & Iron Rulebook
May 22, 2019 by brennon
Firelock Games has released a cut-down version of their Oak & Iron Rulebook so you can get a handle on the core rules and mechanics before the game releases.
Download The Rulebook Here
The PDF comes in at only nineteen pages so it's not too weighty at all. Whilst the final rulebook is bound to be packed with historical information and such this really just focuses in on how to play the game. It could be a good idea to snap this up for tablet devices so that you can refer to it in games perhaps?
I think it's always good when a company is willing to get their rules for a game out there ahead of the full release. It not only gives people a chance to see if they like the game but also allows them to take on feedback too from the community if required.
If you're interested in learning more about Oak & Iron you can visit the Game Page here on OnTableTop as we've done all sorts of videos with the Firelock Games team.
Will you be giving this a download?

Great idea getting the rules out to get people to grips with the game.
They need to release at least cards for 4 boats so you can play through the rules
In their latest email, Firelock also teased a 28mm World War One skirmish game based on the Blood and Plunder rules.
