Firelock Games has showcased some miniatures painted up for Blood & Plunder and Raise The Black, the expansion which is going to take the game into the 18th Century on October 6th via Kickstarter.

This is a set of the new plastic miniatures which you'll be able to get when you dive into the Raise The Black. This particular set was painted by the talented hand of James Wappel and shows off how the multi-part sets will look once they have been given a rather spiffing coat of paint.
As mentioned in their preview from last week HERE, you will be able to mix and match your crew to make them work with your chosen faction and there will even be a few options here and there to allow people to use the plastic kits with the Late 17th Century too.

The move to plastic seems like a good step from Firelock Games, especially when it comes to making it easier for people to customise and play the game their way. There was plenty to like about their one-piece metal miniatures and I doubt they will be going away anytime soon BUT this is a fun new way to experience pirate adventures on the high seas.
