Fireforge’s Folk Rabble Are Roused For Forgotten World
January 6, 2020 by brennon
Fireforge Games have a new set of plastic miniatures available for pre-order right now. The Northmen can draw on all sorts of resources to hold back the undead including the Folk Rabble.
The set comes with three frames allowing you to build six rabble each. You can arm (or at least accessorise) eighteen models, therefore. You'll note that the miniatures can be armed with weapons, picks, cudgels, bows, forks and more but you can also give them more everyday items too.
You could use these models as part of your army or perhaps build them to be used as NPCs in your games. I like the idea of them being used across an array of skirmish games, angry peasants who have been ousted from their home by some dangerous foe.
What do you make of this new plastic kit for Forgotten World?

these could be one of those “buy now, worry about what they’re for later” purchases. I just can’t see myself not having a use for a load of medieval/fantasy villagers at some point.
I so agree!
Great kit even just for kitbashing!
One instant angry mob in a box.
I wonder if you could change the aesthetic of gangs of rome for something more medieval, could easily use these for the ‘angry mob’ in that.
Or you know… just use them for a generic angry mob in any game at all.
I’ve got the “zombie” version of these, only had a quick glance but not sure if it’s due to the shine of the bare plastic but the details seem a little “soft”. HOWEVER it’s still good to see these arrive and they are such a useful purchase for just about any fantasy game or RPG you could mention (or even historicals). At a pound a pop you can’t go wrong, alas the price do up up for the other boxes (like the Northmen being £20 for just 12 minis) to almost GW prices (but they aren’t as good). Which seems… Read more »
Its nice to have civilian models that are multi part. Gives a lot of options for fantasy gaming.
They look great but not sure what I’d use them for. Maybe NPCs in an RPG or maybe a homebrew Brewhouse Bash kind of game. Still nice sculpts
