Fireforge Wage War On The Water With New Battlefleet WWII Images
April 7, 2019 by cassn
Fireforge Games have teased preview images for their new range of future models for Battlefleet WWII. The new range of models and rules from the company will focus on naval warfare during the Second World War. Battlefleet WWII has been a 2-year project by Fireforge, and the results look like they were worth the wait!
These are just a few of the new models which will be on offer, but I really love the detail in these miniatures. If these teaser photos are any indication of the quality of the finished products, then Battlefleet WWII is going to be very popular with Fireforge fans new and old alike!
You can get a closer look at these WWII naval fleets on the Fireforge Games Facebook page.
Will you be waging war at sea when Battlefleet WWII is released?
"Worth the wait!"

Looks interesting!
So, soon there will be 2 WW2 naval games out, although if i’m not mistaken, Warlord’s focus is more coastal?
Can’t wait to see some Battleships!
Yeah, Cruel Seas is torpedo boat dogfighting. We’ll have to see how different this new one is.
So…. Star Wars Armada but with WW2 naval battles?
Colour me interested!
If they do carriers them I’m all in.
Have they released the scale ?
They say the scale will be 1/1750 which means the ships are going to be huge
going to need a large sports hall floor to play on then
Sports hall play area sounds awesome, megaphone or walkie talkies for communuication?
Not impractically huge – CVs and BBs would be around 6 inches or so at that scale. It’s not like you’re going to match model-scale to ground-scale in a naval game anyway – may as well get nice looking models :-).
Reminds me of the Axis and Allies War at Sea minis which were 1:1800. Of course that was just a simple beer and pretzels game, but still a lot of fun 🙂
nice looks like one of the pre-war battle ships that many countries had.
Yes, one of the Colorado class I think? I’m not great on US BBs ^^
Yes she’s very similar, on another note the Colorado she was ment to be with the fleet at Pearl but had returned to the US for a refit.
Cool 3D render but the scale would surely be impractical for tabletop gaming capital ships. 1/2400 would be better or 1/3000. I see comments on FB about April Fools…
I hope its not an April Fool’s. A really good WW2 naval game is something that is missing. But agreed that maybe 1/2400 would be a good size. Maybe at 1/1750 (approx 6″) they are capturing some detail they want?
General Quarters is a great game although it’s been out for many years now I would say it’s still very popular
