Fireforge Arab Archers Coming To Pre-Order Next Week
October 1, 2015 by brennon
Fireforge Games have got their Arabic Armoured Archers at the printers and you'll soon be able to pre-order them for your games of Deus Vult and whatever other Crusader era game you have in mind. See what you think of them ready to be painted below...
Once again it's great to see them coming together nicely. I love the attention to detail with their variety of armour choices and it's always good to see more chainmail - it's so easy to paint! I think I've changed my mind when it comes to the heads I like the best too. I now much prefer the turbans!
Will you be picking these up for your army of choice from the Crusades?

I reckon you’ve put your finger on it, there @torros
I concur with @torros. These would be fine for a generic, mythical Arabian setting like Al-Qadim or Katapesh, but not particularly useful if one was trying to represent a specific time in Islamic or Arabian military history. This is unfortunate, because I’m quite fascinated by the development of the armies of Islam from the early conquests up to the Crusades and it would be great to have some sets that focus on specific times and cultural influences (Persian, Mongol, Turkish, etc.). As it is this hodge-podge of cultural influences in the group from FireForge confirms my opinion that the best… Read more »
