Fire a BEF Coil Gun on All Quiet On the Martian Front
December 14, 2014 by dracs
The British Expeditionary Force have got themselves a new weapon in the battle against the aliens in All Quiet on the Martian Front; the 2 Pound Heavy Coil Gun.
This towed Coil Gun is the largest fielded by the British and fires a 2 pound projectile made out of Martian metal with enough force to crack the shells of the Martian tripods. Of course, this isn't without a great deal of risk and the crew of these guns have to wear special protective gear.
The model is a fantastic mix of WWI era artillery and Tesla-esk pulp scifi. It fits well with the style of All Quiet on the Martian Front, and will definitely prove useful in damaging the highly advanced Martian forces.
Do you have any ideas for the sort of tech the humans should field against the Martians?

You have to love the weird and wonderful alternate WW1 era weaponry of this setting. Steampunk railgun field artillery is just the right kind of bonkers to fit.
