Games Workshop is also working to develop the world of Middle-earth soon with pre-orders going live for the new Scouring Of The Shire sourcebook.

The new Sourcebook focuses in on additional unit entries and scenarios for those who are looking to play out historic battles from The Shire the like Battle of Greenfields and the closing engagements of The Third Age. To this end, a band of Ruffians are going to be made available from Forge World to act as Sharkey's occupying force.

The set looks diverse until you see that there are actually a fair amount of duplicate sculpts. Sure, with the few different paint schemes you'd be able to make it look less repetitive but I think it would have been nice to see a few more options. It would have been cool to just have a few head and weapon options added into the mix, especially for the fellow with the whip and the one who has a bandaged eye.

Ah well, maybe we'll get some more miniatures further down the line.

Classic Sculpts Return

As well as the new models, a few returning oldies have made it into their collection like Bullroarer Took himself.

He will be able to get stuck into a scrap alongside Golfimbul. Maybe you'll be able to re-create the classic battle that we mentioned at Greenfields where Bullroarer knocked off Golfimbul's head and smacked it down a rabbit hole, inventing the game of golf at the same time!

There is a lot to be excited about for fans of Middle-earth and it's good to see the design team working to develop aspects of Middle-earth that we've not really seen explored before.

Will you be picking up this new book?
